Rumours claim that Calvin Harris is taking a jab at Taylor Swift with his new single My Way, but the DJ says he got the idea for the song long before meeting his former flame. “I thought of the concept years ago when I left (grocery store) Safeway. I was trying to move to London and I was working in the store in Scotland. I was trying to go down and make music for a living, but I couldn’t because I didn’t have any money,” he explained.

Recalling his mindset at the time, he continued, “You get brainwashed into thinking it’s as good as you’re going to get, and then you have to realise actually there’s a whole world out there. That was a concept on my mind, but I had no idea how to put that into words until recently.”

In another interview, he added, “I almost just don’t want to say anything because I know no matter what I say it’s going to be linked back to some kind of event.”
