Rumours circulated earlier this year that Adele had turned down Beyoncé’s invite to hit the studio together to work on a collaboration.
Now Adele has addressed the speculation, insisting she would never be so “disrespectful” to her peer. Speaking to Zane Lowe for a BBC radio interview, the 27-year-old singer explained, “Obviously, Queen B until the day I die. There’s a rumour going around that I turned Beyoncé down, which I would never be so disrespectful as to do. I’d never disrespect her like that.”
She added, “I’m such a fan, oh my God.” Earlier, Adele had revealed that she was left so starstruck during one of her first meetings with Beyoncé that she began to cry.
