They're two of the most recognisable faces in sport but Caroline Wozniacki and Ronda Rousey appeared as you've never seen them before in this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition.

Both the Tennis star and the UFC fighter posed in nothing but painted-on swimwear, but it was Rousey who landed one of three coveted cover spots available for the eagerly awaited installment.

However, despite being out-done by the mixed martial arts star, Wozniacki looked delighted with the final cut as she attended SI's launch on Monday.

Taking to Instagram for a picture alongside two of the women behind the shoot the Dane wrote: 'With the beautiful ladies who helped me look my best in this years @si_swimsuit issue!! @mj_day @joannegair thank you!!'

Wozniacki, the former fiancee of golf star Rory McIlroy, also posted two pictures from her shoot - which see her pose on a beach in nothing but red paint.

This was the second year in a row that the 25-year-old appeared in the edition, being shot last time out in a white bikini.
