Baseer Ali is turning all heads in the right direction after winning the dating reality show Splitsvilla X. Even though he lost out in the finale of Roadies Rising, Baseer believes that his foray into reality shows has groomed him into a better person.

Interestingly, the first few weeks into the competition were bad for Baseer, and apparently, he even wanted to quit! But a word of motivation from Rannvijay Singh, the host of the show made all the difference, he says. “It was really tough for me inside the house for the first few weeks. But Rannvijay gave me the motivation to prove myself and not quit. After that, I kept moving ahead with fire in my belly,” says Baseer, adding, “After losing out in the finale of Roadies Rising, Splitsvilla X was my last resort to redeem myself. I have always been a good student, so if I was not into this field, I would have completed my studies and gone to Canada to do an MBA.”

Elaborating on his experience on the reality show, Baseer says that Naina Singh and Priyank Sharma were his greatest support and friends. On how it feels to be recognised now in public and on social media, the youngster shares, “Being famous is not new to me. I was already known in Hyderabad for my stint with Habibiz Vines on YouTube. Then, when I went to Roadies, more people started noticing me and now, after winning Splitsvilla X, everything has changed for the better. I went through many things to achieve this success.”

The reality star is also getting quite a few acting offers from production houses but hasn’t shortlisted anything. “I believe in living in the present. While talks are on for various projects, nothing is final yet. And even though I believe I am not a good actor, I will try my hand at everything that comes my way. All up for the opportunities!” concludes Baseer.
