I am totally greedy and childlike when it comes to gifts. Every time I hear the word gift, my mind somersaults to images of all the nice, beautiful and fancy things that I have ever wished for in recent times. This year, I decided to play my own Santa and bought myself an Alexander McQueen trench coat, Alexander McQueen stilettos, and shades from the same brand along with breath-taking Victoria’s Secret lingerie as my Christmas gift!

A day more, please
Vir Das, actor

What I would want for Christmas this year and every year is eight days in a week. Between five days of shooting a film and two days of stand-up comedy, I don’t get a single day off. Film work through the week, comedy happens through the weekend. I’d love to have an eighth day where I get to chill. That’s not too much to ask for, is it?

Not-so-tech X’mas
Kalki Kochelin, actress

Well, my dream gift is simple yet complicated and pretty much harder to get hold of. Dear Santa Claus, life has become so much dependent on the cellular phone. People can’t go out of their homes without it, and if they forget it at home, they feel as if they have left some important part of themselves at home. It has turned into an extension of the human body. My wish is to somehow not operate my phone all day long so that I could spend all my time with my family properly.

Family time
Karishma Kotak, actress

To be with my loved ones is probably the best gift I could wish for. Because of work and otherwise, I travel a lot to different cities, and many times even on Xmas and on New Years I end up working. So this year, even though I’ve made a conscious effort to fly back to London for a week to be with my family, I want Santa to grant me this very gift every year.

Travel bug
Asha Negi, actress

One thing I want from Santa this Christmas is lots and lots of travelling and fun holidays to look forward to! One destination that has been on my bucket list since long is Kerala. I have heard so much about its beauty and the amazing backwaters. I would love to explore the place, the lake house, treehouse, backwaters and just about everything there!

Naughty X’mas
Bhaavna Arora, author

Even though I was born in the Hindu faith, I wear the avatar of secularism when it comes to gifts for Christmas. Come on! Who doesn’t want a gift from Santa? ‘Dear Santa, this Christmas give me a male stripper with six packs covered with Hazelnut chocolate. And please don’t give me that morality lecture. Even you’re going around in the dark. Never been able to figure out why you don’t come in the morning, naughty boy? Just hoping that you won’t disappoint me this time. Your biggest fan and hardcore believer, Bhaavna’. Though I’m keeping my hopes high this Christmas, to get my gift so should you. And trust me, sometimes the gifts that are denied turn out to be the best gifts of life because God always has a plan for you. Merry Santa Christmas!

Time travel
Karan Tacker, actor

I wish that I could get a chance to relive my childhood and do tons of masti once again. It was the best phase of my life and I want Santa to transport me back in time. There was a girl from my school who I had a serious crush on. I hope Santa could take me to that exact time so that I could confess my feelings to her. Santa, are you listening?

Wholesome celebration
Nilesh Divekar, actor

I want a holistic gift that could benefit all the people from around the country. I wish that all the problems surrounding demonetisation ends and people quickly get enough cash to lead their lives happily this New Year.

Speed of light
Taaha Shah, actor

I want Santa to give me the power of my favourite superhero — Flash. You see, Flash has the power of super speed and he never needs a mode of transportation to go somewhere. That means no cars, taxis or bikes to get anywhere. How cool is that!

If I get that power, I would save so much time — no more wasting time at red lights or being stuck in traffic jams. Also, imagine if I could create my own timeline, my own parallel universe, I would be able to play some cool pranks on my friends. Also, wouldn’t it be cool to speak to someone in Delhi from Mumbai and then end up at his/her doorstep before I hung up the phone?

Dream role
Kunwar Amarjeet Singh, actor

I wish to get a good movie offer wherein I can showcase my talents. Dear Santa, I promise that I will give it my best shot and work hard towards it. It is also the goal I have set for myself for the 2017, I really hope my wish is fulfilled!

Adventure tour
Mansi Srivastava, actress

I need Santa dear to send me on an adventure trip with all my girlfriends. Yes, that’s my dream gift. My girlfriends and I are totally filmy, mad and crazy and we have been trying to plan a vacation for a long time now. But unfortunately and unconsciously nothing has materialised. We all are dying to go out and have crazy uninterrupted fun. I also have a small sketch of the place that we want to go (to help Santa, of course) — the destination has to be breathtaking and scenic but at the same time adventurous and life-changing. So Santa, will you choose accordingly, please? That’d be great. Thanks.

Moony eyed
Shubhangi Latkar, actress

If I were to ask Santa for something, my dream gift would be an expedition to the Moon! I would just love to explore the amazingly beautiful Moon if ever given a chance in my life, as I am quite an adventurous person!

X’mas with santa
Abhinav Shukla, actor

My dream X’mas gift would be to get a free travel voucher to Santa Claus’s village Finland as I have heard a lot about its celebrations and would like to witness it in person. So Santa Claus, if you are listening, come and please take me along.
