Contrary to rumours floating around the entertainment industry, rapper Kanye West is not in talks with television network NBC to host a reported upcoming reboot of the recently cancelled reality singing show, American Idol.

A source told TMZ.com, “There is no conversation with Kanye West to join American Idol or any other show for that matter.”

Producers of the show were reportedly keen on bringing Kanye on board, as they wanted to reboot the show that ended after 14 seasons last year.

But with Kanye denying any connection, it seems that they will have to look elsewhere.
