Several news reports, including one from TMZ.com have said that Miles Teller was arrested for drunken driving, after he was literally falling all over the place and was not cooperating with the police. However, despite TMZ.com saying that the San Diego PD confirmed the arrest, the Whiplash actor is attempting to clear things up.

He took to Twitter to ask his fans not to believe such reports. To set the record straight, he wrote, “Went down to SD to see my buddy before he deployed. I wasn’t arrested I was detained bc there was no evidence to charge me with a crime. Don’t believe everything you read, especially from a third party entertainment news source trying to get clicks. Appreciate the concern. (sic)”
