Aaron Carter has opened up about his relationship with his older brother Nick, after the latter reached out to him following his DUI arrest.

The 29-year-old musician says that despite Nick’s tweet, they haven’t been close or even in touch, and that their relationship has always been rocky.

 “You don’t even know me, Nick. You don’t even talk to me. We see each other once or twice a year,” Aaron explained, according to JustJared.com, and added, “I love my brother, I do…I think he loves me conditionally.”

Aaron does not have pleasant memories with Nick. He recalled a story of Nick making fun of him on their show House of Carter, long ago. He said, “I love my brother, it’s all good but at the same time I have my path, my journey to focus on, and my music. My music is real…It’s all a part of my identity,” he concluded.
