Says a well-informed source, “Deepika did everything possible to get herself the success Priyanka Chopra got in the US. She hired the best Hollywood agents and got superstar Vin Diesel to promote her. But to no success.”

What’s worse is that her latest attempts to prove her market value in the West are falling flat too. A source close to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s forthcoming magnum opus Padmavati says, “Deepika’s latest attempt to prove she’s still in the reckoning in Hollywood is a laugh. Her publicists have claimed that she lost a ‘lead in a romantic Hollywood film’ because she was busy in Bollywood. How vague and laughable is that claim! As far as we know, she was never offered any international film after xXx.”
