There’s been a lot of speculation surrounding the Hindi remake of the Telugu cult blockbuster Arjun Reddy ever since the project was first announced. And the wait is finally over.

The film starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the lead has a name —Kabir Singh.

Director Sandeep Vanga, who also helmed the original Telugu version, says, “When we started work on the Hindi script, it was a very exciting journey. Kabir Singh for the protagonist’s name came to me naturally, considering the character’s graph. It has the same punch and madness as Arjun Reddy.”   

The film will be shot extensively in Mumbai, Delhi and Mussoorie, and Shahid will apparently sport four different looks in the film, for which he has been preparing for the past three months.

The director, who is currently busy conducting workshops with all the actors, says, “It’s all about taking Kabir Singh to the next level.”

The project is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar and Ashwin Varde.
