Megastar Amitabh Bachchan will receive the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award, and his family, fans, and colleagues took to social media to congratulate him.

Abhishek Bachchan wrote a congratulatory post for Big B on Tuesday night. He retweeted union minister Prakash Javadekar, who had made the big announcement. Shweta Bachchan Nanda wrote, “Whose your Dada (Saheb Phalke)? Uncontainable excitement, pride, tears, and general hysteria! Congratulations Papa.”

Meanwhile, Karan Johar wrote, “The most inspiring legend of Indian cinema! He is a bona-fide (sic) rockstar! I am honoured and proud to be in the era of Amitabh Bachchan. The prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award to Amitabh Bachchan!”
