Actress Raveena Tandon is extremely outspoken about her views and didn’t hold back from lashing out at Papon for inappropriately kissing a 12-year-old girl. A complaint was filed against the Assamese singer, Angarag Papon Mahanta, for kissing a minor contestant of his show during a Facebook Live session.

In a video that went viral on social media, Papon is seen smearing coloured powder on the girl’s face and then kissing her in a van on the sets of the reality show Voice of India Kids 2018. “It freaks me out because I have a 12-year-old daughter. She has a music teacher, but I do not expect any of her male teachers to kiss her on her lips. This gurushishya excuse does not justify any male teacher coming kissing anyone’s daughter on the lips” explains Raveena.

The actress urges that his “affection” didn’t fall in line with what is seemed as suitable. “There is a line you can’t cross. Even biological fathers don’t kiss their 12-year daughter on the mouth — you cannot kiss the child on the mouth.” Raveena goes on to add that it didn’t even seem like a fleeting kiss. “I saw the video. It wasn’t a peck. If you have so much affection you kiss the girl on her forehead you cant do this”
