Mahesh lauds Lara for taking a stand

Mahesh says that people need to stop engaging with those accused of sexual harassment.

Casting director-turned-director Mukesh Chhabra has been sacked by the producers of his debut film Kizzie Aur Manny in light of the allegations of sexual harassment levelled against him as part of the ongoing #MeToo movement.

In another fallout of Chhabra’s alleged misconduct, Lara Dutta has also decided to step aside from an assignment being handled by his firm. Lauding her move, husband Mahesh Bhupathi says that it is not enough for such people to just lose clients and projects, they must be treated as guilty until they prove their innocence. He adds that people need to stop engaging with those accused of such acts, and he asks people not to remain silent any more.
