Deepika Padukone strives to be the best

The year 2007 gave Bollywood one of its leading actresses today, Deepika Padukone. After making her debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shaanti Om, today, she is still a favourite among filmmakers.

As the actress looks back at her journey, Deepika gets philosophical. She says, “I have loved every minute of my journey! I understand who I am, and which path I am treading onto. I am learning continuously. Even at the beginning of my career, I loved learning. I always believe there’s room for improvement. I am always focused on improving my shortcomings.” The actress adds, “As an artist, I always want to opt for challenging characters. That’s something I am always striving to achieve.”
