‘I hope Zaira overcomes this problem’

The 17-year-old actress broke her silence on depression a few weeks back by posting a lengthy note on her suffering.

Actress Sanya Malhotra who made her debut with Dangal playing the adult version of wrestler Babita Kumar gives all her support to Zaira Wasim, who played the younger version of Geeta Phogat, for her battle against depression.  

“I have not been in touch with her (Zaira) for a long time as I was busy. But I will call her up. This is a personal thing and a sad situation. I have close ones who have been through the same so I know it’s very tough,” said Sanya.

The 17-year-old actress broke her silence on depression a few weeks back by posting a lengthy note on her suffering.  

“I just hope and wish that Zaira overcomes this problem. We are a huge family, we are all with her and she has all the support and love. And until I speak to her I won’t be able to comment on it,” she added.

Meanwhile, Sanya will next be seen in Badhai Ho and Photograph.
