Chunky Pandey has been known for his comic timing, all through his career. However, the actor will play a grey shade in the Vidya Balan starrer, Begum Jaan for a change. He reveals that he’s now getting more offers to play characters with negative shades on the screen.

“I was surprised that I was chosen for this film. The director of the movie, Srijit Mukherji said I needed to lose Chunky Pandey. He chopped my long locks, and gave me a new look. When I come home, my maid screams and my dogs attack me,” laughs Chunky. “So yes, it was great experimenting with something of this sort.”

The actor plays Kabir, a mercenary for hire, who vows to eliminate Begum Jaan and her employees from the brothel. He adds, “I always wanted to play a negative role. After Begum Jaan, I’m getting more such offers.”
