Raima Sen still rooting for biopic on granny

While a few reports suggest that the film has been shelved, Raima says she is still keen to do the biopic.

Actress Raima Sen who many say resembles her grandmother and well-known Bengali actress Suchitra Sen, was earlier supposed to be part of a biopic on her granny. Due to date issues however, the actress had to back out of the project and the makers have still not approached anyone for the same.

While a few reports suggest that the film has been shelved, Raima says she is still keen to do the biopic. “I was supposed to do it a long time ago but it didn’t work out then for two years. When they called me again, I was shooting for another film and so couldn’t give my dates. They went to Vidya Balan later and she told them that only I can do this role. So after that I haven’t heard anything from them at all. If they come back with it, I would love to do it,” Raima said.
