Even before Anubhav Sinha’s Thappad gets a chance to reverberate across the box office, he is busy writing his next screenplay and has already closed the lead cast.

His next will star Ayushmann Khurrana, with whom he made history in Article 15 last year. They are all set to make history again, albeit of a different kind. “This time, Anubhav Sinha and Ayushmann Khurrana are getting together for a spy thriller. This is a genre that neither of them has explored before,” an informed source reveals.

Interestingly, Ayushmann had said in an interview some time ago, “The one thing that I am very sure about is that in every film, I only want to do a subject that has never been done before.”

From a sperm donor to an honest civil servant to a phone-sex worker to a guy who can’t get it up, the upswing in Ayushmann’s career continues.
