Govinda’s son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, may be 20-year-old already, but unlike most star kids, he isn’t in a hurry to hit the screen.  “Honestly, I have been getting a few offers, but I don’t think I’m ready right now,” he explains. “I feel that looking at the competition, and looking at the expectations people have, it’s on another level right now.”

So, when does he expect to see himself acting? “Probably by 2019, I will make my debut. I do believe that people are going to compare me with dad, and I have to live up to their expectations. So, of course, I’m taking my own time,” he says.

Yashvardhan, who has learnt filmmaking in London, is currently working with Sajid Nadiadwala. With his father and mentor being stalwarts in the genre, would he too do comedy? “Yes, I would love to do comedy, but I would also like to explore other genres,” he says.

As far as working with his father goes, Yashvardhan reveals that he would love to share screen space with Govinda. “Yes, I would love to work with my dad, and we have actually been discussing a few scripts too. Hopefully, later in life, I will come on-screen with dad and make you all laugh,” he smiles.
