Despite making her dream debut with Shah Rukh Khan in Chak De! India, Sagarika Ghatge has not picked up too many roles ever since. But that doesn’t bother her, since the actress says she is happy working on content-driven films.

However, when it comes to item numbers, Sagarika is a bit uncertain. “There is nothing wrong in doing item numbers, but it depends on the song, really. Nothing of that sort has come my way yet. I am happy that people are offering me some great content-driven roles,” she says.

Interestingly, defying the usual typecasting of being a fair and pretty actress, Saragika has not been offered too many glamorous roles. “I am happy that people take me seriously as an actor,” she says, adding, “A lot of people thought that I should be taking up more glamorous roles because I am fair, but I am happy that I got some strong characters to play. However, that does not mean that I don’t want to do glamorous roles.”
