May 16 would be a red-letter day for the Indian cinema at the Cannes Film Festival as Bollywood’s beloved and much-missed screen queen Sridevi will be honoured with a special evening of reminiscences, anecdotes, memories and visual footage of her best performances.

The evening has been organised keeping in mind the curiosity around Sridevi in the international arena.

An emotional Boney Kapoor says,  “I’m happy that people all over the world are recognising her work and contribution to cinema. Even though the overwhelming emptiness of losing her remains, it’s somewhat comforting to know that she lives on through her work.”
