According to some little birdies, it’s the same lack of fund that’s caused the makers to move.

Shahid Kapoor’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu’s last schedule was to begin in Dehradun last week. However, it has now been delayed, and while there have been reports of lack of funding for the project, producer Prernaa Arora has denied them.

Even while snoops investigate what’s happening on the financial front, we hear that the makers will recreate Dehradun in Mumbai now.

“It’s a call taken mutually by the makers of the film. They decided they’ll put up a set to make Mumbai look like Dehradun. Now, the shooting will start next week,” a source adds.

According to some little birdies, it’s the same lack of fund that’s caused the makers to move.

Prernaa’s KriArj Productions has been in the news with John Abraham filing a complaint against her for defaulting on payments for Parmanu. She was also in the news for a legal tussle with Abhishek Kapoor’s company during the production of the temporarily stalled Kedarnath.

We sure hope Shree Narayan Singh’s Batti Gul remains untouched in the time of financial strife.
