Shahid Kapoor’s last film, Batti Gul Meter Chalu fared terribly at the box office. So Shahid has now decided to concentrate solely on his next project Kabir Singh, which is a remake of a Telugu film.

Shahid Kapoor and the team of Kabir Singh have resumed shooting today, at BKC. The scene unfolds in a hospital, with Shahid Kapoor being brought in on a wheelchair.

Our source reveals, “Whether Shahid’s character is brought in because he is hurt or due to a drug overdose, remains unknown. The reason behind his ailment has not been told to us.” The source continues, “We have, however, not seen Kiara Advani, who is supposed to play the heroine in the film. Another girl, whose reel name is Hiya, will be pushing Shahid Kapoor on the wheelchair. We do not know the real name of this female actress and nor do we know anything about her character in the film. She has a part in the hospital scene only today.”

Lastly, the source updates, “This is an eight-day stint, and other locations will be informed to us later. This stint will happen in Mumbai itself.”

The actor, who plays a goon and a drug addict, has plenty of action sequences in the film. Shahid hopes Kabir Singh will rekindle that dwindling spark at the box office. After Padmaavat, his next venture Batti Gul Meter Chalu proved to be a disaster. So Shahid is giving this film his all, hoping for a much-needed hit.
