Sunny Deol’s Bhaiaji Superhit, which has been in the making for the longest time, will finally see the light of day. Years after its launch, the film will hit silver screens this October.

“After a long struggle, the film will release on October 19. Major promotions for the film will begin soon. The makers want to leave no stone unturned,” says a source close to the project.

Apart from Deol, who will be seen in a double role for the first time, the film also stars Preity Zinta, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade and Ameesha Patel.

Talking about the film’s release date, director Neeraj Pathak says, “October 19 is Sunny’s birthday, and it’s also Dussehra. What’s better than that? We couldn’t have asked for more.”

“It’s a fun film, and contradictory to reports, we finished shooting only recently. When you have an ensemble cast, it’s not easy to coordinate everybody's dates, hence the delay,” he adds.

Bhaiaji Superhit promises to be a larger-than-life, colourful comedy with an emotional angle. It showcases the coming together of two vastly different worlds — Bollywood and the underworld of UP. The film has been presented by Hanwant Khatri and Lalit Kiri, and produced by Chirag Mahendra Dhariwaland.
