All writers are up in arms against Kangana Ranaut’s alleged muscling into writer Apurva Asrani’s territory in Hansal Mehta’s Simran. Writers have often got the shorter end of the stick when it comes to Bollywood. Hence, the time seems right to work towards protecting authors’ rights. And rightly so, Sushant Singh Rajput has taken this initiative.

He will soon host a website where all aspiring writers can submit their screenplays/scripts to potential producers and directors.

Says Sushant, “I just want to make sure that small but significant films get a chance to be made. For this, it is very essential to create platforms for emerging writing talent.”
