Blackbuck poaching case: Jodhpur HC issues notice to Saif, Tabu, Sonali Bendre

The development regarding the case comes after the state government challenged the acquittal of actors in the case by a local court.

Mumbai: Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu, Neelam Kothari and Dushyant Singh have recently been issued a notice by the Jodhpur High Court in connection with the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.

The development regarding the case comes after the state government challenged the acquittal of actors in the case by a local court. News agency ANI tweeted, "Black Buck Poaching case: Jodhpur High Court issues a notice to Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam Kothari, Tabu and Dushyant Singh on an appeal by state govt challenging their acquittal in the case by a local court.”

The film stars including Salman Khan were accused of poaching blackbucks in Kankani village near Jodhpur in 1998. The stars were shooting for Sooraj Barjatya’s family drama Hum Saath Saath Hain, those days.
