Vidya Balan’s last outing in Tumhari Sulu was a money-spinner at the box office in 2017. The plot of the film was highly appreciated. And now, it is being remade in Tamil. South actress Jyotika has come on-board to play the protagonist for the Tamil version.

Vidya has been grinning from ear-to-ear ever since she learnt about this development. She says, “Jyotika is a wonderful actress. I never thought someone as big as her would act in a remake of my film. Bhool Bhulaiya was a remake of Chandramukhi, where she essayed the lead role. I am sure she will do a great job with Tumhari Sulu remake as well,”

Suresh Triveni’s 2017 hit Tumhari Sulu, was about a housewife who becomes a radio jockey. The film got thumbs up from the critics and audience. The Tamil version of the film will go on floors soon.
