Soon to be a father for the second time, Shahid Kapoor is an exceptional father. And as much as he dotes on his daughter, his concern for sister Sanah Kapoor is no less. Sanah, who is very close to her brother, reveals that the actor is very protective.

“Bhaiya is very protective, which he has been for a long time. But having turned into a father his protectiveness has multiplied in many ways. One day when I was busy playing with Misha (Shahid’s daughter), he enters the room and started asking ‘Yeh kya kapdey pehney hai tumene? Tumeh dekh kar Misha bhi aise kade pehnagi, ya phir chaige pehnna’ (What are you wearing? Looking at you even Misha will want to wear such clothes). I guess the dress I was wearing did not go down well with him,” smiles Sanah.

“It sounded so cute. He has become such an overprotective father. Hearing this from him, we all laughed. All in all, I find him an adorable father,” she adds.

The 26-year-old who worked with her brother in Shaandaar, which didn’t do well at the box office, feels her role was appreciated. “I am indeed happy having debuted with Shaandaar. The film may not have done well at the box office but post the film I have been busy doing theatre with dad (Pankaj Kapoor) and I have learned a lot about acting,” says Sanah.

On the work front, she is ready with her short film ‘Khajoor Pey Attake’ in which she is sharing the screen space with the likes of Vinay Pathak. “Working with ace actors has been a great learning experience. I have another film, which will be announced sometime in June. I have been asked not to give away any details,” she says.

And coming from a family of actors, Sanah says they have had to find their own way professionally. “Both my parents have earned respect through their performances. Also, bhaiya (Shahid Kapoor) is a famous actor. But our upbringing has been like any normal kid and we had to break our way through professionally on our own,” she concludes.
