There have been reports of Janhvi Kapoor doing a Vijay Deverakonda film named Fighter opposite the Arjun Reddy hero. But having said that, Vijay has started shooting in Mumbai for Fighter and there is no Janhvi on the sets yet.

“The rumours about Janhvi doing the film started after the makers decided to shift the location of the shooting from Hyderabad to Mumbai. Janhvi had also expressed an interest to work with Vijay around June last year, and multiple rumours started floating around after that. The director Puri Jagannadh had said that a decision on the casting would be taken only after the script is ready, but then there has been no formal announcement on the film about Janhvi, who was recently seen in the horror webseries Ghost Stories,” says a source.a

Karan Johar is also said to be collaborating with Puri on the film, and hence the silence on Janhvi has been sort of baffling.

The actress is slated to start work on Karan Johar’s Takht by the end of February and the film has a 170-day schedule. She has more or less completed the shoot of her films Roohi Afzaa and wrapped the schedules of her next release Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.
