Producers decided not to shoot and gave everyone a break

The ongoing farmers’ protest had a Bollywood victim — the shooting of the Shahid-Kapoor starrer Jersey was affected.  “The producers of the movie and the director Gowtam Tinnanuri had to put off the shoot because the  farmers of Punjab were on protest and the shooting of the film was to happen in Chandigarh. So, in the interests of the cast and crew and safety on the sets, the producers decided not to shoot and gave everyone, including the leading man Shahid Kapoor and the heroine Mrunal Thakur, a break,” says a source.

The makers continued to shoot some portions of the film in Dehradun where they were filming before they moved to Chandigarh on Monday before the Bharat Bandh.
