The actress's upcoming film is slated to release over 1000 screens

Kiara Advani

Actress Kiara Advani has been signed on to play lead in the film Karram Kurram, which will be produced by Ashutosh Gowariker and directed by Ashutosh’s assistants, Glenn Baretto and Ankush Mohla (son of veteran filmmaker Madan Mohla).

Incidentally, Glenn and Ankush also have been assistants to erstwhile filmmaker Mansoor Khan and have worked with Aamir Khan on films such as the 1992-blockbuster Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander and the 1995-superhit Akele Hum Akele Tum. Glen and Ankush also came together around fourteen years ago to direct a 2006-thriller with Bipasha Basu and Aftab Shivdasani, called Jaane Hoga Kya.

Talking about Kiara’s choice for the movie, a trade source tells us, “It was evident because of her upcoming film Indoo Ki Jawaani and her past record of back-to-back hits. Also, Indoo Ki Jawaani is releasing in over a 1,000 screens across India and is expected to be the biggest Bollywood release in the past nine months. That makes Kiara a very hot property.”

The shooting of Karram Kurram is slated for sometime early next year.
