Last year, on Hrithik Roshan’s birthday on January 10, Rakesh Roshan had announced that Krrish 4 would release in the Christmas of 2020. While work on the film is still on, there has been no update on the release date.

But now, with Aamir Khan announcing that his film Laal Singh Chaddha will hit theatres on Aamir’s preferred release date of Christmas, the trade is stating that Krrish 4 could undergo a change of plans.

“Krrish 4 may not come in Christmas 2020. The makers are getting the film’s script in order at the moment and since the film will need advanced VFX, catching the Christmas date may also be an issue,” says a source in the film trade.

Laal Singh Chaddha, produced by Aamir Khan along with Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, will be directed by Adavit Chandan who directed Aamir in Secret Superstar. The film has been written by Atul Kulkarni.

Adapted from Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks, Laal Singh Chaddha is expected to be a desi version of the 1994 film. However, not many may be aware that Kundan Shah had announced a remake of the film in 1995 with Anil Kapoor as the lead. The film was titled Sheikh Chilli. Kapoor even did a photo shoot for the film and was later replaced by Shah Rukh Khan. But then the film never got made.
