On Tuesday, veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar filed a defamation case against the Queen actress for her allegations that he’d threatened her for speaking up about her alleged relationship with actor Hrithik Roshan.
Addressing the new complaint against her, Kangana took to her Twitter to respond to Shiv Sena leader Sanajay Raut’s tweet, which confirmed the news of Akhtar’s complaint against the actress.
“Lyricist Javed Akhtar files criminal complaint against Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut for making defamatory statements on national and international television. The complaint has been filed before the Metropolitan Magistrate at Andheri, Mumbai (sic),” the politician wrote in his tweet.
Kangana, on her part, shared Raut’s tweet and wrote, “Ek thi sherni… aur bhediyon ka jhund (there was once a lioness… and a pack of wolves) (sic).”
Meanwhile, Kangana has also reacted to the Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami’s arrest by Mumbai Police on Wednesday morning from his house. Arnab has been arrested in connection to an old abetment to suicide case of interior designer Anvay Naik, which was registered in 2018. According to reports, Arnab said that the Mumbai Police physically assaulted his family members.
Reacting to the act, Kangana shared a video on her Instagram account, addressing the Maharashtra Government. She cited examples of fighters who were silenced for their free speech. She said that today Arnab was assaulted and arrested, but people will keep speaking up. If one person’s voice is silenced, many others will raise their voice.
