Mumbai: Today on the occasion of Ajay Devgn's 50th birthday, the actor gave a special birthday gift to his fans by releasing De De Pyaar De trailer. Also starring Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles, De De Pyaar De trailer has been getting a solid response on the internet. However, many social media users are not happy with the makers for casting Alok Nath in the film.

Actor Alok Nath, who was accused of sexual harassment in #MeToo movement is a part of De De Pyaar De. Hence, the official Twitter handle of MeToo India shows disappointment over Alok Nath's casting in the film. #MeTooIndia wrote, "While women continue to be disbelieved, ridiculed and shoved back into silence, men accused of sexual violence continue to find work. @ajaydevgn @itsBhushanKumar I hope you know Alok Nath has been accused of rape and an FIR filed. Disgusting that he’s part of De De Pyar De."

They further added, "When it came to casting someone for that role, what made it absolutely necessary to pick a man accused of violence and harassment by multiple women? Is it a message that says you don’t care? What will it take for artists to stand up in support of women who call out predators?"

Since after these tweets, Twitterati started slamming Ajay Devgn, Bhushan Kumar and the makers of De De Pyaar De for casting #MeToo accused in the film.
