Erstwhile best friends Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali were both in Rajasthan when the violence against Bhansali erupted in Jaipur on Friday afternoon.

One of the first calls during this hour of distress that Bhansali received was from Salman. The two were the best of friends during the making of Bhansali's Khamoshi: The Musical and Hum…Dil De Chuke Sanam but fell out when Bhansali signed Shah Rukh Khan for Devdas.

Lately there have been signs of reconciliation between Sanjay and Salman.

A source close to both reveals, "Salman immediately called up Sanjay after the ugly incident in Jaipur on Friday to ask if he was okay. It was a gesture that went a long way in bringing the two friends back together again."
