Aamir Khan won’t personally promote Dangal on the sets of Bigg Boss, but plans to host a special screening for friend Salman Khan.

Salman Khan

While controversies and tiffs often surround the three Khans of B-town, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan have been known to largely support each other’s endeavors. Now, as Aamir prepares for the launch of his next film, Dangal on December 23, Salman has promised to promote the movie in his show Big Boss.

Aamir, however, has stated that he will not go to the show to promote the movie. In a recent press conference, he was heard saying, “I am not going on television to promote the film. We will have the trailer and promo of our film (play at the show). I am sure he (Salman) loves to promote my film. Even I love to promote his film. I am dying to show Salman Dangal as well.”

We also learned that Aamir has been planning to host a special screening of the movie for Salman, who was also seen playing the role of a boxer in his recent film Sultan.

In Dangal, Aamir plays the role of former wrestler Mahavir Phogat, who trained his daughters Geeta Phobat and Babita Kumari. His daughters went on to win gold and silver medals in wrestling, at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Sakshi Tanwar will be seen playing Aamir’s wife in the film. Aamir had to put on quite a bit of weight for the part, and even touched 97 kilograms, after which he had to shed 30 kilograms to play his younger wrestler self.
