Television star Mouni Roy will soon make her debut opposite Akshay Kumar in Gold. However, she admits that the feeling of being a movie star is yet to sink in. She says, “Let me just put it this way, I am doing one part. I have shot very little for the film. It is always a process. It is new for me, so I am learning so much.”

Mouni feels that growth and the move to films is also imperative. “It is essential, and as actors, we are all greedy to do meaty roles. This character came to me at an appropriate stage in my career, and I hope I justify it to the best of my abilities,” she says.

The actress says that she will remain in television irrespective of her work in the movies. “TV is my home, and I will always be a part of it,” she signs off.
