Yoga event: Traffic in CP to be diverted

The Delhi police has issued a traffic advisory detailing diversion of vehicular movement on Connaught Place and other roads leading to it for the International Yoga Day on June 21.

The Inner Circle, Middle Circle and the radial roads of the Outer Circle of Connaught Place will be closed for traffic between 3 am and 9 am.

No vehicular traffic will be allowed on the Inner Circle, Middle Circle and the radial roads of the Outer Circle in Connaught Place. The roads will be closed for traffic from 3 to 9 am, or till the end of the Yoga programme, said the traffic police.

Apart from Connaught Place, the yoga event will also be organised at Nehru Park, Lodi Garden, Talkatora Garden, Dwarka, Rohini and Yamuna Sports Complex. The city traffic police has made adequate traffic arrangements at these places too.

Traffic on the Outer Circle of Connaught Place and radial roads leading to the Outer Circle will be partially affected from 7 to 8.30 am due to dispersal of the participants of Yoga programme, said the police.

“The traffic arrangements are for the guidance and convenience of public,” an official said.
