Woman, 55, strangled to death in Dwarka
A 55-year-old woman, identified as Sunaina Agarwal, was strangled to death inside her home in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka area. The police suspects the involvement of an insider behind her murder.
A 55-year-old woman, identified as Sunaina Agarwal, was strangled to death inside her home in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka area. The police suspects the involvement of an insider behind her murder.
The incident took place on Monday when the woman’s son, Tarun, returned home and found his mother lying unconscious in the kitchen and her face covered with a polythene bag. Tarun informed the police about the incident, a police team reached the spot. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead.
The police said no house hold item or cash has been reported missing. The cops have also ruled out robbery or ransacking. Sunaina’s husband had died five years ago and she was living with her two sons.
Tarun had informed the police that when he returned from work on Monday, the door of the house was closed. The police has registered a case of murder and are probing the case from all angles.
“We have detained a close relative of the victim on suspicion. We have got significant leads in the cases on the basis of mobile phone records. The case will be solved very soon,” said a senior police official.
