Lashing out at chief minister Arvind Kejriwal for allegedly protecting the accused in connection with the suicide of an AAP worker, the leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta, along with other party MLAs, staged a protest outside the CM’s residence on Thursday.

Addressing the demonstrators, Mr Gupta demanded a CBI inquiry into the circumstances leading to the death of Ms Soni as well as the people responsible for abatement of suicide. He demanded that Mr Kejriwal and Ms Swati Maliwal, chairperson of Delhi Commission of Women (DCW) must resign owning moral responsibility for her death.

“AAP Delhi convenor Dilip Pandey must be arrested for his connivance in the racket. There is a sex racket going on in AAP. Pimps are active in the party prompting women political workers for sexual favours. Dilip Pandey and Ramesh Wadhwa are very close to each other,” said Mr Gupta.

Father of Ms Soni and parents of Anas, the boy who died after falling in an open drain, also joined the demonstration to express their irreparable loss. Mr Gupta said that two and half months have passed, but Anas’s family has still not been paid compensation despite assurances from PWD minister Satyendra Jain.
