Two persons, including a woman, were murdered in two separate crimes repo-rted from west Delhi’s Nihal Vihar on Monday, pol-ice said.

The first murder took place at Nilothi Mor near Nihal Vihar where a 28-year-old businessman was shot dead by two bike-borne assailants in the evening. The businessman, identified as Rahul Aggarwal, was a supplier of grocery items to shopkeepers in Nihal Vihar area. He lived with his family in Shivram Park area in west Delhi. He was married only six months ago. Police suspect monetary dispute or business rivalry could be the reason behind his murder.

A senior police officer said the deceased had gone to collect money from a grocery shop owner at Nilothi Mor. He was entering the shop when two unidentified men arrived on a motorcycle and shot him from a close range. The bullet hit Aggarwal near the chest and he collapsed at the shop while the attackers sped off.

“The shopkeeper informed the police control room about the crime. Aggarwal was rushed to Maharaja Agrasen Hospit-al where doctors pronounced him dead on admission,” said the officer adding a case of murder was registered and investigations were taken up.

In another murder case, a 23-year-old woman was murdered allegedly by her inebriated husband following an argument over not giving him money to buy liquor. The husband, identified as Pradeep, fled the house leaving his wife bleed to death, said police.
