SDMC nod to 396 building plans through online process

Within one month, since it became the country’s first civic body to grant sanction of building plans and construction permits in a totally digitised and paperless manner, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has issued around 200 building plan through single window clearance or common application form.

According to SDMC mayor Shyam Sharma, the civic body has approved 396 building plans till date out of the 602 applications filed online for sanction of the building plans and only five cases have been rejected due to submission of incomplete information.

“Further 180 digitally-signed building construction permits/ sanction pla-ns have been issued online under the new system commissioned,” Mr Sharma said.

He assured that the rema-ining applications are bei-ng processed expeditiously. “The SDMC will remain assiduous in rendering such expedient services to its residents,” he added.

On May 27, the SDMC started the process of gr-anting sanction of building plans and construction permits in a totally digitised and paperless manner.
