Road rage: Doctor, father assaulted by nine bikers

The victim has been identified as Shivpuri resident Manoj Aggarwal(37), who has a child clinic in Shahdara. At around 5:45 pm in the evening, when the doctor was going to his clinic from his home with his assistant and 68-year-old father, bike borne assailants came speeding and hit the victim’s car from behind. When the doctor protested, the assailants started abusing him and asked him to park his car on the side of the road. The police said the assailants were on a scooty and a bike. “They got down from their bike, went up to the doctor’s car and started thrashing him and his assistant. According tot the complaint, there were nine men out of which three of them were thrashing them and the rest were watching. Public could not come to help due to this,” said the police official.
Manoj alleged that one of the accused slapped him so hard that he lost his ability to hear.
“One of them brutally thrashed my father and assistant Vimal as well. After that, they abused and threatened us of dire consequences if we complained to the police,” said the police official.
Based on the complaint of the victim, an FIR was registered at the Krishna Nagar police station under relevant sections of IPC and police has formed a team to catch the accused.
