The diplomat, identified as Nuin Duin Khan, was driving his car at top speed in a rash and negligent manner and rammed into another car after losing control over the vehicle near Anand Niketan, the police said. The diplomat, according to the police, is the first secretary in the Vietnam embassy. “The couple was getting off the car when the incident happened. The impact was very high. Luckily, the couple escaped unhurt. They then called the police to report the matter,” the police said.
The victim, Arti Gupta, who lives in D Block of Anand Niketan, told the police that she was getting off her car when it was hit by the diplomat’s car. A police source said that when the police reached the spot, the diplomat refused to undergo any medical test. He also did not give his licence to the cops.
