Days after lieutenant-governor Najeeb Jung asked the Delhi government to review its ambitious app-based premium bus service again, the AAP dispensation on Tuesday invited public opinion and suggestions on the scheme till June 20.

According to the government, it is expected that many people will forgo travelling in cars and switch to the comfortable buses under the scheme which will help strengthen public transport in the national capital.

“The government has sought people’s suggestions and opinion on the implementation of app-based premium bus service scheme till June 20. They can send the same at deltrpt@gmail.Com.

“Public suggestions and opinion will be sent to the lieutenant-governor and government will apprise him about what people think about the scheme,” said a senior government official.

The official said the suggestions and opinions are being sought by the government as was asked by the L-G while refusing to give his go ahead to the scheme last month.

The scheme was initially scheduled to be rolled out from June 1.
