Police make 2nd arrest in Bhalswa rape case

More than a week after a 25-year-old woman was ra-ped and murdered in northwest Delhi’s Bhalswa Dairy area, the Delhi police on Sunday claimed to have arrested the second abscon-ding accused, identified as Abhimanyu alias Mannu.

The cops had arrested a juvenile a day after the gruesome incident.Abhimanyu’s interrogation has shockingly reveal-ed that the two accused had sexually assaulted the victim’s body before leaving it in jungles of Bhalswa Dairy. He is a resident of Bur-ari locality, said the police.

According to the police, on November 28 the victim’s brother had filed a complaint that his sister, who stayed with their unc-le and aunt in Mukundpur, had been abducted by some unidentified assailants when no one was at home.

The police said that after the arrest of the juvenile, a raid was conducted at the house of Abhimanyu, but he could not be traced.
