In a major reshuffle, the Union home ministry on Tuesday transferred as many as 25 Delhi police officials, including the city’s anti-corruption chief and joint commissioner of New Delhi range M.K. Meena, DCP South district Prem Nath and special commissioner (traffic) Muktesh Chandra.
Deputy commissioner (south) Prem Nath, who was investigating the mysterious death of Sunanda Pushkar and the JNU sedition case, has been transferred to Mizoram.
Mr Meena, who has been heading the city’s anti-corruption branch, has been transferred to Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Mr Meena is expected to relinquish his post on April 1.
A notification, of the Union home ministry issued on Tuesday, said, it was “cancelling his (Mr Meena’s) earlier transfer order to Arunachal Pradesh dated 08.04.2015. He (will) be relieved on 01.04.2016.”
Mr Meena’s appointment as ACB chief last year by lieutenant-governor Najeeb Jung, had led to a series of confrontation between the AAP government and the Centre. The AAP government had even moved a plea in the Delhi high court against his appointment.
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had last year ordered a probe against Mr Meena for allegedly intimidating his juniors in the office. Mr Meena had been appointed as the ACB chief in place of S.S Yadav, whom the AAP government earlier appointed to the post.

Mr T.N. Mohan, presently posted in Goa, will replace Mr Chandra as special commissioner of police, traffic.
Ms Esha Pandey and Raju Ranjan, transferred from Lakshadweep, will be posted in New Delhi.
