Man stabs wife to death in South Delhi
A 58-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her husband after the couple had an altercation in South Delhi’s Anand Niketan Area on Wednesday afternoon.
A 58-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her husband after the couple had an altercation in South Delhi’s Anand Niketan Area on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased, identified as Manju Monga, worked at a boutique in Anand Niketan. The police has also said that the accused, Mukesh Monga, tried to sever her head before he was apprehended by the public and handed over to the police.
The incident took place behind Mount Carmel School when Mukesh, who works in his sister’s music institute, was dropping his wife to her boutique in his car.
According to the police, the couple had an altercation after which he pulled out a knife him and stabbed her in abdomen, neck and face.
The bystanders, who witnessed the incident, rushed to rescue the woman’s and caught hold of her husband. A guard posted in the area informed the police and Mukesh was arrested.
“The women had sustained multiple injuries on neck and chest. There were also grievous injuries to the neck and it is not clear if the man tried to sever her head,” said a senior official.
