A day after creating a flutter at a tourism event, Delhi Cabinet minister Kapil Mishra sought explanation from BJP president Amit Shah over the ruling party’s alleged reluctance over declaring Pakistan as a terror state.

In an open letter to Mr Shah, he suggested the BJP president to call a special sitting of Parliament to declare the hostile neighbour as a sponsor of terror and snatch the status of “most favoured nation” accorded to it.

Mr Mishra outburst against Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti had created a flutter. “How can tourism and terrorism go hand in hand,” he said at the event on Tuesday, accusing Ms Mufti of sheltering and sympathising with terrorists. The event was the launch of a tourism fair in the capital.

He had alleged that terrorists receive help from the local politicians from the Valley. Speaking at the launch of Bharat International Tourism Travel Bazaar, Mr Mishra had also asked Ms Mufti, who was present on the dais, whether she considered Burhan Wani and Afzal Guru terrorists or not.
