A body of a newborn whose one leg was reportedly eaten by animals was found in a dustbin in northwest Delhi’s Subhash Place area on Monday.
A police official said that animals might have eaten one leg of the child. The police said the body of the infant was preserved at the mortuary of a nearby government hospital. “We are searching for the parents of the infant. A local saw the body in the dustbin near Poonam Gas agency and called the PCR after which a team from the local police station was sent to the spot. We found that one of the legs of the infant was eaten by animals,” the police said. The police said it has lodged a case in this respect and were looking into the matter.
